JAPANESE KATSU CURRY

INGREDIENTS

  • Curry Sauce Ingredients:
  • 3 tsp De’ Maderaas Madras Curry Powder
  • 1 onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 potato
  • 1 carrot
  • 3 tbs oil
  • 250ml water


  • Chicken Katsu Ingredients:
  • 1-2 chicken breast fillet
  • 30gr multipurpose flour
  • 1 tsp chicken stock powder
  • ½ salt
  • ¼ pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Bread crumbs for coating
  • Oil to fry

HOW TO COOK

  • How to cook katsu:
  1. Mix the multipurpose flour, chicken stock powder, and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken fillet with mixed flour.
  3. Beat the egg in the separated bowl. Coat the marinated chicken with beated egg, then coat it again with bread crumbs.
  4. Heat the oil. Deep fry chicken until its color turns golden brown. Take out and drain well the oil.


  • How to cook curry soup:
  1. Heat the oil in the pan. Saute onion until fragrant.
  2. Add water into the pan. Heat until it boiled.
  3. Add potato and carrot, cook it for 10 minutes.
  4. Add De’ Maderaas Madrac Curry Powder. Stir it untul the texture becomes thicky. Set aside.


  • Serving:
  1. Serve with hot rice. Add chicken katsu on the top of it and pour the curry sauce.
